Application with Vietnamese IPO

Patents

• Under Paris Convention
  • Vietnamese written description, claims and drawings (Late submission is not allowed)
  • English version of specification
  • Power of Attorney (Individual or General ) in paper


• For Priority Claimed
  • Priority Document in paper with Vietnamese translation of its bibliographic page(s)
  • Non-extendable deadline for submission of priority document is 3 months from the filing date


• PCT
  Entry Time Limit =31 months from the date of priority or International Filing Date
  • Vietnamese written description, claims and drawings (Late submission is not allowed)
  • English version of specification
  • Power of Attorney (Individual or General ) in paper (No notarization required. The non-extendable deadline for submission of POA in 34 months from a priority date or, in no priority claimed, PCT application date)

Trademark (Multi-class application acceptable)

• Trademark Sample
  (Filing documents for a trademark application in Vietnam must be submitted in Vietnamese)
• Power of Attorney in paper with wet signature
  (Notarization or legalization is not required) or a copy of GPOA previously filed in IPVN. Late submission of POA allowable and must be submitted within one month from filing a trademark application
• For Priority Claimed
  Priority document must be translated into Vietnamese

Design

• A representation of the design in six views and perspective view (drawings, photographs, or other graphic representations).
• Specification of design (in Vietnamese) which must include the title of design, field wherein the article of design is used, closest prior art design
• Power of Attorney in paper with wet signature (notarization or legalization is not required). Late submission of POA allowable and must be submitted within one month from filing of design application
